Many people, before me,
have written poems.
Do I really need
to write poems as well?
Wouldn't it be better
...If I watched the cherry-trees blooming
and the clouds sailing above?
And your lips, are they not sweeter
than any poems of mine?
And are not your eyes
Lovelier that any poems of mine?
