A Poem of Love

is where they met, he walked up

and liked her flowers

the night started with laughter

ended with a gentle kiss

The first blush was swift

she turned away for fear of

an entanglement

blithely moving on he was

only friends with benefits

A mishap brought him

rushing to her side, he knew

he had to have her

He fell to his knees to ask

If she’d spend her life with him

So sweet and tender

his heart was truly all hers

She smiled, so grateful

For another chance at love

For another chance with him

The sweet, sweet bundle

Landed in her arms, “my love”

now they were complete
