'My Beloved,

Thank you

Thank you for unwavering faithfulness

during my continual wavering

and for your forgiveness

in return for all my insults

and for your faith in me

in return for my mistrust

There are so many times

I wish that

you would leave me

because I feel that I can

never live up to your goodness

and yet you adore me

Let everything in my being

that keeps me from you

be taken

for I desire only

to hold you

to kiss you

to smell you again

this is my prayer'
