Near death first kiss

by Tommy
(Raleigh, nc, usa)

Reader Post: 'No, she wasn't a vampire and bit my tongue. We were both fifteen and walking home together. Beautiful golden hair, and blue eyes clearer than water. We lived near each other and school, so one spring night we were walking home from jazz ensemble, when a car screeched around the corner and sped right toward her. I pushed her out of the way and jumped, because I knew that if I was going to live, I had to avoid being crushed, even if it meant flying 20 ft in the air. Which is what happened. I tried to protect my neck and head, but the impact stopped my heart and breathing. The jerk drove off.

Thank god she had a cell phone and knew CPR. I came to about a minute and a half later, just before she started pumping hard enough to crack my ribs. She said "Oh, thank god you're alive. You saved my life!" I said, "Same to you" and I felt so much love for her at that moment that nothing could have stopped me from reaching up and pulling her down on top of me.

Tears streaming down her face, a few working at the corners of mine, I said, "I love you so much." And I made out with her. Tongue and everything, one hand through her silky golden hair and the other caressing her back. It was wet with our tears and I didn't care.

The worst part of it was the end, when the ambulance showed up and caught us making out! The guy got out and said, "Are you pranking me?" We explained what happened to him. I got up and got into the ambulance. I felt that if you can get hit by a pickup and walk away, you shouldn't have to go to the hospital. Although, having her fall asleep on my chest on the way there made the three nights I spent in the hospital worth it.'
