My most romantic Valentine's Day ever!
by Dallas
My most romantic Valentine's Day ever happened the year my husband proposed. I had never been one to celebrate this commercialized holiday, and even spurned the women who expected romance on cue. My husband was the romantic man at heart, however, and the day he proposed he changed my mind on what Valentine's Day was all about.
I came home, not really expecting much for the day. It was hard to ignore, with all the advertisements, but I had told him not to go all out.
As I walked in, I discovered rose petals leading to my bathroom, with an invitation to go out that evening. Beside the invitation was a gift, with a new dress and a bottle of perfume. Who can resist that?
Was I ever surprised when he arrived a short while later, dressed much nicer than usual. He took me out to a reservation only restaurant, which he had been planning for months. After dinner, he proposed on the river walk. Of course, I said yes!
