I had a dream the other day. You were in your car seat. I looked back, just to "check on you", and I saw a mop of dark hair, brilliantly shining brown eyes and two cute little dimples with a smile so bright that it captured my soul. I awoke in wonder.

Your birth came quite suddenly almost as if you wanted to come out and meet me. After two hours, you arrived. I could feel a glow come over me. It was a rush of something very strong that pierced my entire body. I have never felt this kind of love before. It was intoxicating.

As a mother lion protects her cubs so I protected you. No harm that I could prevent would ever overcome you. You were my little "cub" and I was your Mama. You were safe.

We rocked in that rocking chair for hours upon hours. Your little hand would reach up to caress my long hair, as you suckled on your bottle. Your eyes would get so heavy and a soft and gentle cooing noise would escape from your tiny, sweet mouth. You enveloped my heart.

While out driving one day, with you in your car seat, I looked back, just to "check on you". Awestruck and amazed, I thought in silence. You are mine. You are the love of my life.'
