Love Poetry: To whom will I run to?
by Emilio Merisier
(Orlando, FL, USA)
'I lay you down, and I close your eyes
Your sleep grows at the rate of my
Thoughts, I turn the switch on
And low down the sound of my breath
You hear me sing through the beauty
Of poetry and unseen colors
You set me down and roll me over
I pick up my palette to paint your lips
With a sacred colors
A light smile comes from your sleepy mind
And I paint your mouth, I take the time
To mix my soul with your silence
So I can be the words of your voice
You open your eyes and feel the flow across
Your lips, the color goes down to your chin
And tempts your fear to redirect your
Unconscious mind
To the very thought of colors I observe
Your moves and scrutinize your vertigo
A stream of tears deluges my mind and I lose
Control, a masked pleasure that leads my voice
To a profound pain, and you go along, naked
Thoughts with deep gestures within your mind
Gestures of love and unexplainable feelings
“Linked a whole load of powerful negative
Emotions”
“I am depressed”
To whom will I sing to? To whom will I dance for?
I watch you go, the weight of anxiety fills
The space and dries my paint
To whom will I write for? To whom will I die for?
I want to try again; I want to go with you
To flow into your tears, feel the despondence
Of your soul and cry along the road with you
I want to feel the obdurate inquietude or
Be a part of your avoidance, your frailty
To function normally, I want to be human
Let your pains mix with my joy and create
A new body into the purest form of empathy
I want to do something new, painful and risky
That the Lord can see and the angels can sing
My lines as their favorite, then you shall
Sing with them and I will dance again into
Your voice, and smilingly we will die in dawn
I want to try again, I want to be human'
