Love Poetry: The Power of Love

'~ Love has the power to ease pain,
to soften hard blows,
help faith remain.

~ Love has the power to change one's course,
It never needs to apply any force.
It wants whats good, never ill.
It is able to say "not my will".

~ Love can release though it wants to hold on,
It forgives from the heart
when the picture's all wrong.

~ Love has the power to take the blame,
it covers the wrong and hides the shame.
It overlooks the faults of others,
breaks down walls between sisters and brothers.

The ultimate power that love does afford,
is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Lord.
That is the power of love.
