Love Poetry: Surrender
by Syeda Haani
(Bartlett, IL, USA)
'Facing the truth,
Sometimes hard like guilt.
From the day,
I discovered
Falling stars could make wishes come true.
From the day,
My eyes beheld glistening light,
And my ears listened music of rain,
When it touches leaves and wind.
From the day,
I could feel whispering waves tickling my feet,
And slippery sand clench me from falling down,
From the day,
I started smiling
When nobody’s around,
From the day,
When Adam and Eve thought about making a relation
And God decided to create the world in the honor of appreciation,
That was the day,
I was fallen in love with you,
And still I love you....'
