Love Poetry: Perfect Love
by Krystal Marie
'Laying in bed, watching the sunset, I turn to you and in a silent whisper I say, "I love you." You turn to face me and whisper back in my ear so softly, "Do you really?" I can tell in your tone you're so serious because you've never been love like this before. But its ok, neither have I. I take your hand and with all that I am, give you the deepest kiss you can imagine. There's just enough light for you to get lost in my eyes, and I map back and say, "what do you believe, what do you feel?" You kiss me again and in the sweetest tone you whisper, "I feel its too good to be real, tell me you're not here to disappear." At that moment you pull me on top of you and hold me so close to you, as though you fear at any moment I'll leave. I lift my head off your chest, wrap my arms around your neck, kiss you sweet and whisper, "I'll love you forever." You lock eyes with me right then and you stare hard inside as if looking to finally understand every belief you never dared to question. You speak slow to me then,"why me?" I stare back trying to find the words in my head, thinking of all the coversations we've ever had, every word we've ever said, to try to put it in a way that makes just a little bit of sense when I say it. My slow response is this. "You treat me like a princess, and I know secretly in your heart you're waiting for the day to make me your queen. But I see it and I want to take your hand, and in return, make you my king. And before you lost hope and thought it was all just a dream I had to let you know, that, I love you." You kiss me so amazing. I can tell right then you believe everything. And when our eyes finally meet again and I watch the sun glow in them, you whisper to me, "I love you too."
