Love Poetry: My Dearest

'The very thought of you
Brings a smile to my face
The, mere, touch of your hand -
A passion to my pulse
A fever to my brow
A flutter to my heart
You breathe a Life into me
That which is greater than any breath
I could ever take in, on my own -
For I am greater, when I am in your presence
Even afar, long after you have gone
And I am left with
The lingering scent of your perfume
I, truly, am not alone
For I carry your smile, within my heart
Your name, upon my lips
Your voice, sounding my ears
Your picture, etching my mind
And I am blessed in knowing
That I am within your presence
And you, within mine
Never wanting the more than
You are able to give
For that which you already give
Is ever more than you could know
