Love Poetry: Love, Like Films...

'Beauty so classic, you're such an immaculate sight. You flicker through my thoughts, like old Hollywood, black & white. Even sophisticated in sadness, as the score pulls us in. Agitated, yet still attracted, my fingers lift up your chin. Paralyzed by your gaze, I gently wisp away those tears. You confide to the look on my face, as I kiss you so dear. We fade to an opacity, then you alone emerge on set. A flashback of your past, seemingly deterring us to connect. Your performances cycle throughout my mind, all hours of the day. Tormented by our last encounter, & the power of the emotions at play. Our prior knowledge of this feeling, a tale all too real. Solemnly peeling, & cutting, editing out the cels of the reel. We've compiled an epic, one able to consume us & our audience alike. As your smile leaves them breathless, to the tune of an orchestral delight. I've dawned on this moment, I've memorized every romantic line. So long as our love, like films, will be able to stand the test of time. Beauty so timeless, your perfection seems to glow. As radiant as a diamond's projection through the coal. I've made you everything you are, like a star born of space. Today you still dream of that kiss, beneath the spotlight of my face. Another pleasant ending, our story has been told. No sense in pretending, that it isn't deserving of the gold. Now as they've saved their applause, at last to the very, very end. There's no shame in wanting to watch, over, & over again...'
