Love Poetry: Life Without Sex
by Becca
(Toronto, Canada)
'Life without sex
may not be as boring as you'd imagine.
In fact I'm full of joy and wonder
appreciating the beauty of creation.
And if the destination is union
it's already happened so many times before,
each time I feel us
in a song, a story, a painting,
even hidden within dollar store greeting cards.
Some say the idea is to procreate,
well poems have just flowed out of me
instead of children, who are expensive to raise.
So as long as LOVE is
I'm happy to bear his progeny,
content to be one in his harem.'
