Love Poetry: Know that I’ll always have love for you

'Bridges we can build
Boundaries we can yield
Foundations can be laid
Friendships can be made

Circuits can be made complete
A path can be shared by two feet
A road can be trodden without being squashed
A forest can be entered without getting lost

A heart can beat without trying to win
The body can heal without counting sin
Your mind can think outside of a box
It can be ever so clever and not like a sly fox

A voice can be loud without being heard
Silence can be lonely without a word
Laughter can come from deep in the belly
Feeling swamped isn’t always smelly

Bark can be beautiful and not always bite
You can squeeze my hand and its never to tight
You can lie on the grass and it really doesn’t mind
Try as you might you can never ever be too kind

To stand up proud doesn’t mean that your mighty
To know your true self and take it all lightly
Shine out your light and know it is shared
Live out your dream and know that you dared

To follow the flow although it maybe uphill
To stay up all night in a prayerful vigil
See the horizon with your feet on the ground
Knowing the tune of the universe as an internal sound


A flower may blossom in the sun in a hour
A wave can say hi or give us full power
The sands can shift over time and change the view
But I know that I’ll always have love for you
