Love Poetry: Heaven's Heart
by Nicole Vanasse
(Kenora, Ontario, Canada)
'O Beautiful One,
You have set my
Heart
Ablazed like a ferocious
Wildfire burning.
Your breath on my
Lips sweet as
Honeysuckle
Consumes me.
O Lovely One,
May I enter into
courtyards of your
Sanctuary, so that I may build an
Alter of of Honour
Sacrifice my whole
Heart pierced for
Your eyes alone.
May I sit ouside the
Door of your
Innermost dwellings.
Listen to the beat of
Heaven's Heart
All through the dark
Winter's Night
Till dawn's early Light
Your prescence is of
The August Sun's warm
Embrace thawing
My frozen soul,
Melting away into a
Sea of Redemption.
My sweet bronze
Phoenix, Rise up
From those ashes.
I will soar with you,
O Heaven's Heart
As angels' tears
Rain down Purifying
Us.
My love for you
Is as Eternal as the
Vast Universe.
As certain as the
Dawn of the
Rising Sun.'
