Love Poetry: Alone in the night
by Linda Paquette
(Dracut Mass 01826)
'She walks into the night feeling so alone never knowing why.
She walks into the night with the moon lighting her way.
The cool breeze of the night stinging as it caresses her cheek.
To feel the mist of the night as the rain begins.
She feels the rain touching her body as if to make love to her.
Feeling so much love inside, as she walks she can feel the life all around her.
Wishing she could stay, loving the night.wanting more, she stops to sit by a tree.
The moon and the rain, giving her this feeling of love all around her.
Her clothes clinging to her body as an embrace.
Becoming one with the night hoping she could stay longer.
Hearing the sounds of the night all around her.
The sounds as if to talk to her, saying it will be all right.
Stay with us, we the moon and the rain, she wants to stay.
Knowing if she did she would never feel alone again.
She could go on forever with this she holds in the night.
To find she could come back again. She wants to stay.
The night wait for her. Wishing she could find all this in her life without the night.
The night helps her to feel free again and hope that someday, she will find what she needs without the night. Maybe she can walk into the night with someone someday
