Love and Emotional Power
by Anonymous
To try and define love is not exactly an easy venture. The reason is that love is an intangible entity - it is an emotion that stressed attraction combines with a deep rooted sense of attachment.
In short, it is one of the strongest positive feelings that can be developed for a person. And it is also an extreme emotion which, in turn, means it can get a lot stronger over time. This is why you see marriages lasting several decades. When love is strong, there is very little that can undermine the hold that it will have over those that fall into love. Most certainly, that is a good thing. When you fall in and out of love then you really were not in love to begin with. Instead, there is a sense of attachment that waivers and wonders but is not connected with a true and serious sense of love. While this is not necessarily a bad thing per se, it is not love which is known to forever spring eternal.
Affection and honor rarely dissipate when people are tied strongly to one another. Love is a powerful and captivating emotion that does not waiver. That is why its emotional power is so strong.
