I remember it like it was yesterday...

I remember it like it was yesterday-and I'd never have believed I could have felt like that at age 38. I'd already been married before, so love and kissing and all that jazz wasn't a new experience like when you're 13 and on your first date, but this was a brand new relationship with a new man, one who was growing more important to me by the day. I was over at his home and we were both sitting on the loveseat-one on either side-with about the space of another person in between us.
I was soooo nervous! We were watching television, but I don't think either of us was really watching it. The tension in the air was so thick you could have cut it with a knife! I remember giggling like a schoolgirl.
We just kept sneaking looks at each other out of the corner of our eyes. Finally, I said, "I feel like I'm 14 again!" There was more giggling on both of our parts, and it was several more minutes before our lips finally met, but that was a wonderful, much anticipated kiss! A little more than two years later, we were married and will now experience a lifetime sharing kisses!
