'To The Love of My Life

From the moment that I first read your words my heart was touched by your truth and sincerity.

You stated what you were looking for and the pain that you had experienced jumped out at me. Something in my heart told me to go to you and soothe you. I wanted to tell you how sorry I was that you had to go through your pain.

You responded back and seemed surprised that someone would come to you and acknowledge your pain, but yet at the same time you seemed grateful. You called me "an angel" and you truly made me feel like one.

Your sensitivity spoke to my heart and I felt a unity with you. We had both suffered similar losses yet not quite the same. Even so, I knew that we were both hurting differently and yet the same.

Your attentiveness and devotion from the beginning were something that I so desperately needed and you filled the void in my life. You saw me through some very difficult times and you are still right there for me.

You did not go away when things become difficult. You did not give up and run, but stayed and saw us through. For that alone you have my respect and devotion.

You were open yet frightened all at the same time. I was certain that you were afraid of me, or was it just that you were afraid that I would break your heart.

Very slowly, but in time, your insecurities seemed to melt away. We became closer and spoke of our mutual spiritual love. I only want someone who will walk with me and understand me, someone who will treat me right, someone that loves me for me and who will stand beside me not only through the sunshine, but also through the rain. I do not want for a man who is wealthy, but a man whose heart is rich with love for me and for his Maker.

We have overcome some challenges, but here we still stand together and I feel so blessed to have been given the gift of love and devotion from the one who calls me his "Angel". You are forever in my heart and I love you so.'
