First Kiss Stories: On Being Patient
by Anonymous
Reader Post: 'Actually, this isnt all about me... it was my best friend's story.
My friend and I, as well as three other boys from school (one of them her boyfriend) all went to the cornmaze for Halloween at midnight.
Two of the boys and I all knew that my friend and her boyfriend had been talking about how they wanted to kiss. So we decided to ditch them so they could have "alone time".
When my best friend eventually found us, she and her boyfriend couldnt stop smiling... I knew it must have happend!
We talked all about it later, and how she got chills, and how he loftly rubbed her back. She said the kiss lasted for about eight seconds... and that it was tongue-kissing...
This is where I started to feel a little jealous. I felt she was growing up faster then me, and I wanted to have my first kiss too!! I wanted to have chills, and brag about it to my friends.
I would tell myself we were still young (only 12) and that it was silly to be making out with boys.. and that it would be more romantic to wait longer, when I would be 13 or 14. I was jealous for the longest time.. but learned to be happy for her.
You have to be patient.. and all good things come to those who have respect and wait.'
