Reader Post: 'Some time ago, as a poet, I discovered something I call "ConTEXTing poetry". Bounded by the SMS format of 68 characters, ConTEXTing poetry requires the sender to sometimes use symbols and numbers instead of full words. For example, too, to or two become 2. Later could be l8r, etc.
If you go to my blog cyranowriter.wordpress.com and do a cloud search for "ConTEXTing", you'll find both romantic and revolutionary poems that fit this genre.
I hope you enjoy it!
PS: Haiku, obviously, has woven itself quite a bit into my work, as it fits well within the character limits.'
