A Candy Bouquet

As Valentine's Day approaches, many of us are having to think up ideas for that special someone. Of course we want the day to be memorable! I tend to be a little challenged in finding the perfect ideas for a romantic holiday, but once the love bug hit me I suddenly became inspired.

The first year my husband and I were dating for Valentine's Day, I wanted something that expressed my love without being too over the top. As a simple gift (we were both on a tight budget), I collected a huge assortment of candy, since he has a huge sweet tooth, and created a candy bouquet.

This might seem like a plain idea to some, but to personalize the gift, I attached notes for each candy. The notes went along with the ingredients, such as "I'm nuts for you", or "You're my sweet tart".

The container was stenciled with love messages that reflected our relationship... including the message "Marry Me" among the candy hearts.

It is one of the silliest but most fun Valentine's Day presents ever! He still uses the container his candy was in, and it brings happy memories every time we look at it.
