101 Fun Things to Do
101 Fun things to do is my healing love notes on having fun. Who said children should be the only ones to play?
Life is to be enjoyed, not simply endured. Pleasure and goodness and joy support the pursuit of survival.
-Williard Gaylin
Have More Fun!
Fun is great for your head, heart and spirit. It does wonders for your blood pressure and sex life. All you have to do is to let loose more often... as the saying goes, play fun fun fun games! Be silly. Try to remember what children haven't yet forgotten. After all, laughter is nectar to the gods. You don't have to take life - or yourself - quite so seriously... That is the secret of authentic happiness!
When I recently asked if my Twitter friends were having fun, @Pianca replied,
'I have alotta fun in my life, no matter what is going on I always find time to smile : )'
What a wonderful attitude to travel with through life! So come on folks, it's time for....
Fun fun fun Games!
Play is one of those things that we just take for granted when we're young. It's as natural as breathing in a healthy, balanced life - and not just for kids! If you've forgotten the pure high of happiness - or fun fun games for that matter, try some of these 101 fun things to do:
Have Fun with your Honey
Ever heard the saying that couple who play together stay together?
Even though one might grow older in years does not mean that you have to grow older in your heart. You can keep that childlike play in you forever. Do not be afraid to enjoy the things that you did when you were younger out of fear that you will be "talked" about.
- Go to the lake and walk down the pier holding hands with your sweetheart.
- Share an ice cream cone at the beach.
- Play "tag" on the beach.
- Play hide and seek outside at night.
- Go out in the snow and make a snowman together.
- Make snow angels in the winter with your special someone.
- Build a snow fort and have a snowball war.
- Carve yours and his initials in a tree.
- Have a morning picnic in a romantic setting.
- Kiss in the dark at the movies.
- Go to the drive in movies.
- Play miniature golf.
- Take silly pictures of yourselves together.
- Have a stare down with your honey.
- Play spin the bottle, just you and your sweetheart and spend two minutes in the closet together.
- Hula-hoop with your darling.
Play video games with your darling.
Play hangman together.
101 Fun Things to Do
- Collect videos/dvd's guaranteed to make you laugh. Watch a movie whenever you're feeling stressed or low - or just because it's fun.
- Make a list of your favourite fun things to do, whether it's relaxing with a magazine and a hot chocolate, or a night out with friends. Set aside time to do something fun at least three times a week.
- Play board games with family or friends.
- Smile for no reason. Laugh out loud.
- Kick off your shoes and dance.
- Write down the names of five friends who understand the meaning of fun. Schedule a play date with each one.
- Set up games that you can play with kids ¯ like croquet and badminton. Grab some sidewalk chalk and draw a hopscotch court that you can jump on too.
- Find something to celebrate. Have a party!
- Have fun in the kitchen. Try a new recipe. Sign up for cooking classes. Be ambitious!
- Buy a bunch of love toys - feather boas, chocolate-flavoured body paint - and invite your partner to slip between the sheets with you.
- Play cricket on the beach. And while you're there, sculpt a sand castle.
- Tell jokes.
- Find out when the circus is next in town and attend... twice!
- Take up a hobby where you can get your hands dirty: gardening, scrapbooking, or pottery.
- Start an adult 'playgroup'. You can bake together, make music, or play word games. Remember, fun grows exponentially, so the more people you involve, the better.
- Tell scary stories around a camp fire.
- Blow soap bubbles.
- Surprise someone you love.
- Have a picnic.
- Celebrate today. Why not?
Give yourself a break. Take time off from worrying so much and trying so hard. As Oprah says,
'Every day brings a chance to live free of regret and with as much joy, fun, and laughter as you can stand.'
